Hello, I'm Olivia
I manage projects. I am a parent. An expat living in London, United Kingdom.
Several years ago I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually opened a new chapter of my life overseas.
How It Started
Moving to United Kingdom wasn’t part of the long-term plan. Like many expat relocations, it began as a work opportunity and soon grew into something much larger.
The early months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks felt more complicated than they should.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning by doing. But gradually, routines took shape. We found places that worked for us, met other families, and began building something that felt stable.
Why I Built Ubiwah Tuma Oqica Ilet
Most information online was either corporate-level relocation advice or surface-level tourism material. What was missing was honest, day-to-day family perspective.
This site aims to close that gap — practical guidance based on real life in United Kingdom.
What This Site Covers (And Does Not)
This site is:
- Practical know-how from living in United Kingdom
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever something truly changes
This site isn't:
- A tourism-authority resource
- A sponsored review platform
- A generic travel blog
Looking Forward
Our stay in United Kingdom continues, and the learning process goes on. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll continue documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in London or anywhere in United Kingdom, please feel free to get in touch.
Best regards,
Olivia
